Ben Therrell, DMA teaches cello lessons to students aged 3-99!

As a Suzuki-certified cello teacher, Dr. Therrell is dedicated to helping his students discover their own unique voices and expressions through musical spontaneity. He has previously taught at the UNCSA Community Music School and the UNM Community Music Program, and is excited to share his wealth of knowledge and experience with you. Whether you're a student looking to boost your cello skills or a music lover seeking a unique and dynamic performance, Dr. Therrell is the perfect choice.

With a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Music from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Dr. Therrell has received guidance from some of the most renowned cellists in the world, including David Finckel, Lynn Harrell, and Anthony Elliott. He has also been the resident cellist for the Rabin String Quartet and the Giannini String Quartet, and has performed with many major orchestras across the US.
